Pirovac, Croatia — OPG Urem Ante has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Urem Coratina brand.
OPG Urem Ante produced Urem Coratina as a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil made from the Coratina cultivar. The oil is distinguished by herbaceous notes, with a peppery edge and accents of chicory, radish and arugula that build through the finish.
The Urem family from Pirovac produces high-quality extra virgin olive oil from its olive groves. The renewal of 100 inherited olive trees, which are more than 100 years old, and the planting of new trees resulted in ample quantity for demanding buyers who can recognize the features of extra virgin olive oil.
The 2026 Gold adds to OPG Urem Ante’s established record at the competition. Across its NYIOOC history, OPG Urem Ante has earned three Gold Awards and one Silver Award, with Golds in 2025 and 2023 and a Silver in 2022.
