Ayvalık, Turkey — Orfion Olive Oil has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Orfion brand.

Orfion Olive Oil produced Orfion as a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil from the Edremit cultivar. Orfion is distinguished by green, savory aromatics, with arugula and olive leaf at the forefront, followed by oregano and garlic and a clean lift of black pepper that carries through the finish.

Orfion is a producer-led extra virgin olive oil from Ayvalık, shaped by four generations of olive oil making. Orfion Olive Oil harvests olives when they reach the desired profile and processes them promptly, using low-temperature extraction to preserve natural aroma and character. Each batch follows a consistent, traceable process—from grove to bottle—focused on clarity, balance and the true taste of the fruit.

The NYIOOC Gold places Orfion among the world’s elite extra virgin olive oils. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Orfion Olive Oil is #33 in Turkey, #126 in the Northern Hemisphere and #127 Worldwide.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world’s leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
