Central Coast, United States — Pasolivo has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Pasolivo Il Singolo.

Pasolivo earned five Gold Awards in total at the 2026 NYIOOC, with recognition spanning monovarietals and blends. Alongside the Gold for Pasolivo Il Singolo, a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil produced from Ascolano olives, the California producer secured Gold for Pasolivo California Blend (Medium), Pasolivo Tuscan (Medium) from Leccino, Pasolivo Classic (Medium) from Frantoio and Pasolivo Cucina (Robust) from Frantoio.

Across the award-winning lineup, Pasolivo’s 2026 results highlighted a consistent stylistic focus on balance and freshness. Pasolivo Il Singolo stood out as a medium-intensity expression of Ascolano, while Pasolivo Tuscan presented a medium-intensity profile built around Leccino. Pasolivo Classic and Pasolivo Cucina, both produced from Frantoio, demonstrated how the cultivar can be guided into different expressions, from medium to robust intensity. The Gold-winning Pasolivo California Blend rounded out the set as a medium-intensity blend.

Pasolivo has long framed olive oil production as both meticulous agriculture and careful processing. In prior seasons, the producer has emphasized rapid handling of fruit from harvest through milling, alongside rigorous attention to sensory and chemical quality, as part of a method that treats each lot as its own project from grove to bottle.

California producers have also faced mounting climatic and economic pressures in recent years, including frost events, drought conditions and rising costs for labor and inputs. Within that context, the five Gold Awards at the 2026 NYIOOC added to a broader pattern of California’s continued performance at the world competition, where producers have repeatedly demonstrated resilience in challenging harvests while maintaining high quality.

At the Pasolivo ranch, Pasolivo has said the olive trees are never harmed with chemicals and that olives are handpicked to create fresh, healthy and flavorful oils. Pasolivo has also positioned its work around a tree-to-table experience, connecting production choices in the grove and mill to the way consumers use extra virgin olive oil at home and at the table.

Pasolivo’s 2026 success extends an established record at the NYIOOC. Since entering the competition, Pasolivo has accumulated 41 total awards, including 34 Gold and seven Silver. The producer’s year-by-year performance includes four awards in 2024 (three Gold and one Silver), five Gold in 2023, five awards in 2022 (four Gold and one Silver), five Gold in 2021, four Gold in 2020, four awards in 2019 (two Gold and two Silver), four awards in 2018 (three Gold and one Silver), two Gold in 2017 and three awards in 2016 (one Gold and two Silver).

The five Gold Awards earned at the 2026 NYIOOC place Pasolivo among the leading performers in the competition’s results. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Pasolivo is ranked #3 in the United States, #8 in the Northern Hemisphere and #9 Worldwide.
