Heraklion, Greece — Peskesi has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Talos brand.
Peskesi Talos is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity. Crafted from Koroneiki olives, Talos is distinguished by green almond and tomato leaf aromas, layered with fresh arugula and a steady black pepper finish. Careful agronomy and attentive processing preserve the oil’s clarity and balance, highlighting the cultivar’s characteristic freshness.
Since 2014, Peskesi restaurant has focused on reviving Cretan gastronomy while producing healthy, nutritionally rich products with respect for people and the environment. Grounded in a “Farm to Table” and “Table to Farm” philosophy, Peskesi applies certified organic, biodynamic, ecological and seasonal farming practices on its 24-hectare farm.
In 2025, Peskesi was recognized as the best Organic Restaurant in Europe by the EU Organic Awards, underscoring the restaurant’s broader commitment to agriculture-driven cuisine and responsible production.
