Northern Portugal, Portugal — Quinta dos Olmais has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Olmais Organic brand.

"Today, we celebrate 10 years of Olmais, exactly where it all began: with a Gold Medal at the NYIOOC. Looking back at 2016, we entered our very first batch with nothing but high hopes and laser-printed labels. That first Gold gave us the courage to go all in and redesign our image to truly match the liquid gold inside. A decade later, the labels have changed, but our commitment remains as golden as ever!," said Julio Gomes Alves, General Manager at Quinta dos Olmais.

Quinta dos Olmais produced Olmais Organic as a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil from the Cobrancosa cultivar. Olmais Organic is distinguished by fresh herbal character and green grass aromatics, with notes of banana and almond, alongside a subtle red-fruit nuance that adds complexity.

Quinta dos Olmais is an organic farm owned by the Gomes Alves family and produces premium organic extra virgin olive oil from northern Portugal.
