Croatia — Racica has been awarded a Silver at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Macmalić brand.
Macmalić is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity produced from Slivnjaca and Plominka olives. The oil is distinguished by fresh eucalyptus aromatics, green almond and leafy notes, with ripe sensations and a peppery lift on the finish.
Racica is a family business, and Macmalić is one of the sections in the company. Alongside retail activity, Racica grows olives and currently cultivates more than 2,000 olive trees. Racica plans to open its own oil mill next year.
The NYIOOC Silver places Macmalić among the world’s most decorated extra virgin olive oils. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Racica is ranked #57 in Croatia, #128 in the Northern Hemisphere and #130 Worldwide.
