Yarrawonga, Australia — Rich Glen has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Yarrawonga Coratina brand.

Yarrawonga Coratina is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity, crafted exclusively from Coratina olives. Marked by a bright green character, Yarrawonga Coratina is distinguished by green pepper and fresh grass aromatics, alongside chicory and bitter almond that lend structure and a clean, lingering finish.

Rich Glen traces its roots to the early 1980s, when Franc and Marija Vodusek purchased Rich Fields in 1982 and, two years later, added the adjoining property, Glen Loth, forming what would become Rich Glen. The family expanded into olive growing in 1997, when Franc and his son Daimien planted 36,000 olive trees, laying the foundation for an on-farm operation focused on producing fresh extra virgin olive oil.

In 2001, the Vodusek family added a state-of-the-art processing plant, enabling olives to be harvested and pressed within hours. Today, more than 190 products are harvested, processed and packed on-farm at the heart of the olive estate.

The NYIOOC Gold places Yarrawonga Coratina among the world’s elite extra virgin olive oils. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Rich Glen is ranked #11 in Australia, #45 in the Southern Hemisphere and #129 Worldwide.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world's leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
