Komarna, Croatia — Rizman has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Rizman Organic brand.

Rizman Organic is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity. Crafted from Oblica olives, Rizman Organic is distinguished by fresh green pepper sensations, green almond nuances and a tomato leaf character that carries through to a balanced finish.

Rizman has been developing its agricultural footprint in Komarna since 2006, planting 22 hectares of new vineyards and 1,700 olive trees in what is recognized as Croatia’s youngest wine-producing area. The family also created the concept of the Komarna wine-producing area, where all producers are registered organic.

The winery takes its name from a family legacy. In honor of the producer’s grandfather and great-grandfather, described as the first winemaker in the family, the winery bears his nickname, Rizman. More information about Rizman is available on the Rizman website.

The 2026 Gold marks a milestone for Rizman at the NYIOOC. Across its competition history, Rizman has earned one Gold and two Silver awards, including Silvers in 2025 and 2021.

The NYIOOC Gold places Rizman Organic among the world’s elite extra virgin olive oils. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Rizman is ranked #32 in Croatia, #90 in the Northern Hemisphere and #94 Worldwide.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world’s leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
