Les Borges Blanques, Spain — Sant Isidre de Les Borges Blanques i Secció de Crèdit has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Terrall de Sant Isidre brand.
Terrall de Sant Isidre is a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil made from Arbequina olives. Marked by fresh almond and green banana notes, the oil also shows a vegetal edge of green pepper, fennel and lettuce, creating a balanced profile that remains bright on the palate.
Sant Isidre de Les Borges Blanques i Secció de Crèdit belongs to the regulatory council of the Les Garrigues Protected Designation of Origin, rooted in a production area in the southwest of Catalonia. The cooperative describes the territory’s continuity of culture and tradition as central to its identity, pointing to centenary olive trees as a defining local symbol and to Arbequina extra virgin olive oil as a longstanding way of life.
The 2026 Gold continues Sant Isidre de Les Borges Blanques i Secció de Crèdit’s consistent performance at the competition. With three Gold awards overall, the producer previously earned Gold in 2024 and 2025, bringing its NYIOOC total to three awards.
