Sannio, Italy — Settemisure has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Mosaico brand.

Mosaico is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity, crafted exclusively from the Ortice cultivar. Produced in the Sannio area, the oil is distinguished by unripe green fruitiness and a savory edge, unfolding with impressions of arugula and tomato leaf alongside a marine note reminiscent of seaweed, before closing with a clean surge of black pepper.

Founded out of a restoration effort, Settemisure traces its work back to 2015, when a flood destroyed the family’s grandfather’s olive grove. Determined to give the land a second life, Settemisure began studying the typical olive varieties of the region, planting new trees while preserving those that remained. As production took shape, Settemisure expanded the same approach to other abandoned lands, building an identity around careful agricultural choices, high standards and the promotion of the Sannio territory.

The 2026 NYIOOC Gold places Mosaico among the world’s elite extra virgin olive oils. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Settemisure is ranked #80 in Italy, #127 in the Northern Hemisphere and #129 Worldwide.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world’s leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
