Alexander Valley, United States — Showa Farm has been awarded a Silver at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Showa Farm Organic Arbequina.
Showa Farm Organic Arbequina is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity, produced from Arbequina olives. The oil is distinguished by a delicate floral character that carries through the aromatic profile.
Located in Northern Sonoma County in the heart of Alexander Valley wine country, Showa Farm is family-owned and guided by biodynamic and organic farming principles. The farm uses solar panels for all of its electricity and relies on aquifer well water delivered to the orchard through drip irrigation. Alongside the olive trees, Showa Farm raises goats, chickens, burros, horses, cats and dogs, and grows fruits, nuts and vegetables to support on-farm diversity.
The 2026 Silver adds to Showa Farm’s record at the NYIOOC, where the producer has earned a total of six awards, including two Gold and four Silver distinctions, with previous recognitions in 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2025.
In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Showa Farm is ranked #27 in the United States, #77 in the Northern Hemisphere and #81 Worldwide.
