Tunis, Tunisia — Siclani has been awarded a Silver at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Siclani Chetoui.
Siclani Chetoui is a delicate-intensity extra virgin olive oil produced from the Chetoui cultivar. The monovarietal selection reflects a measured style, emphasizing subtle aromatics and a gentle finish aligned with its lighter profile.
Siclani traces its roots to a long tradition of olive oil production, like many families across the Mediterranean. In 2016, Rachid Ben Salah and his sons decided to pursue olive oil professionally, buying back ancient family groves and training with specialists. The family also exchanged knowledge with extra virgin olive oil enthusiasts from multiple countries before expanding plantings and beginning to press independently, focusing on careful handling throughout the process.
The 2026 Silver builds on Siclani’s established NYIOOC record. With two Silver Awards overall, including a Silver in 2025, Siclani has now earned recognition at the competition in consecutive years.
In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Siclani is ranked #6 in Tunisia, #95 in the Northern Hemisphere and #98 Worldwide.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world's leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
