Santa Maria di Licodia, Italy — Sikulus has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Pronio’s brand.

Pronio’s is an extra virgin olive oil of robust intensity, produced from Nocellara Etnea olives. Marked by green almond and fresh grass aromas with a clear thread of fennel, Pronio’s delivers a firm structure and persistent sensory lift that reflects the character of high-elevation groves on Sicily’s volcanic terrain.

On the slopes of Mount Etna near the town of Santa Maria di Licodia in the province of Catania, the olive grove of Sikulus sits at around 950 meters above sea level. For four generations, Sikulus has cultivated an olive oil culture that blends the knowledge of Sicilian tradition with technological innovation and environmental sustainability.

The NYIOOC Gold places Pronio’s among the world’s elite extra virgin olive oils. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Sikulus ranks #81 in Italy, #125 in the Northern Hemisphere and #128 Worldwide.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world’s leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
