Tuscany, Italy — Tenuta Maryamado has been awarded three Gold Awards at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Maryamado Pendolino, Maryamado Intenso and Maryamado Leccio del Corno.
The three winning extra virgin olive oils, each produced at medium intensity, reflect Tenuta Maryamado’s focus on varietal character and careful processing. Maryamado Intenso, produced from Frantoio, is distinguished by fresh herbal notes alongside arugula and leaf, with a steady peppery edge that builds through the finish. Maryamado Pendolino, produced from Pendolino, shares the estate’s herb-forward profile and a clean, peppery persistence, while Maryamado Leccio del Corno, produced from Leccio del Corno, expresses the same green, leafy aromatic direction with a balanced, medium-weight structure.
Tenuta Maryamado is nestled in the heart of the rolling Tuscan hills, an area known for its natural beauty and agricultural abundance. The estate extends over 200 hectares and encompasses extensive forests, 30 hectares of vineyards, olive trees described by Tenuta Maryamado as 3,800 years old, and agricultural land used to produce cereals, essential oils, fruit and vegetables, alongside classic and contemporary gardens.
The three Gold Awards add to Tenuta Maryamado’s established record at the competition. Across its full NYIOOC history, Tenuta Maryamado has earned 12 Gold Awards and no Silvers, including three Golds in each of 2023, 2024 and 2025.
The results also strengthen Tenuta Maryamado’s standing in the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, where Tenuta Maryamado is ranked #14 in Italy, #47 in the Northern Hemisphere and #48 worldwide.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world’s leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
