Calabria, Italy — TRE Olive has been awarded two Silvers at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the TRE Olive AO and TRE Olive brands.
TRE Olive AO is a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil produced from Carolea olives. The oil is distinguished by a rounded nut character, with impressions of almond and walnut layered over ripe fruit and dry-fruit tones.
TRE Olive also earned a Silver in the medium category with a Carolea monovarietal extra virgin olive oil, reinforcing a consistent approach to variety, milling and quality across the producer’s 2026 entries.
Founded in 2010 by three cousins, TRE Olive was created to avoid selling the family’s olive oil to wholesalers and to ship directly to consumers. The family’s roots in extra virgin olive oil production extend through generations in Calabria, where, in 1934, the family opened an olive mill that continues to press olives from the family groves and mill olives for many local farmers.
The 2026 results add to TRE Olive’s established record at the NYIOOC. Across its full competition history, TRE Olive has earned seven awards, including two Golds and five Silvers, with prior recognition in 2024 (Silver), 2023 (Silver), 2022 (Gold) and 2020 (Gold and Silver).
In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, TRE Olive is ranked #46 in the United States, #103 in the Northern Hemisphere and #106 Worldwide.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world's leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
