Svir0e, Croatia Uljara Bozic - Svirce D.O.O has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Bozic Uje brand.
Bozic Uje is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity, crafted from Oblica olives. The oil is distinguished by a fresh green character, with notes of green pepper and grass layered over green tomato and tomato leaf, finishing with a clear peppery bite that lingers on the palate.
Uljara Bozic - Svirce D.O.O draws on family traditions and a long-standing focus on rigorous standards, describing its work as rooted in hard work, love and expertise. Bozic oil is produced with an emphasis on flavor and ingredient selection, reflecting a food-focused approach that has helped the producer build a consistent record in international competition.
Croatian producers have steadily expanded their presence at the NYIOOC in recent years, and the countrys strong performance has been marked by an increasing number of awards from a growing pool of entries. In reporting on the 2020 results, Olive Oil Times noted that Croatian olive oil producers earned 49 awards from 60 entries, underscoring the attention being paid to quality-driven production across the country.
The 2026 Gold adds to a decade-long NYIOOC record for Uljara Bozic - Svirce D.O.O. Overall, the producer has earned 10 awards at the competition, including six Gold and four Silver distinctions. The annual results include a Gold in 2025, a Silver in 2024, a Gold in 2023, a Silver in 2022, a Gold and a Silver in 2021, a Gold in 2020, a Gold in 2018 and a Silver in 2017.
The 2026 NYIOOC Gold places Bozic Uje among the worlds elite extra virgin olive oils. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Uljara Bozic - Svirce D.O.O is ranked #10 in Croatia, #59 in the Northern Hemisphere and #60 Worldwide.
