Portugal — Uncommon Time has been awarded a Silver at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the UT Bio brand.
Uncommon Time produces UT Bio as a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil made from Cobrancosa, Negrinha de Freixo and Verdeal Transmontana. Marked by ripe olive aromas and ripe notes on the palate, UT Bio delivers a rounded sensory profile that reflects the producer’s focus on quality-oriented processing.
Uncommon Time frames UT Bio within a broader effort to promote Portuguese agro-food products to international consumers. With Portuguese gastronomic habits gaining recognition abroad, Uncommon Time links olive oil with the country’s wider food culture, emphasizing quality and healthy routines alongside other “Made in Portugal” products.
The 2026 Silver adds to Uncommon Time’s record at the NYIOOC. Across its participation, Uncommon Time has earned three awards in total, including two Gold Awards and one Silver Award, with previous Golds won in 2025 and 2023.
The 2026 result also strengthens Uncommon Time’s standing in the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, where Uncommon Time is ranked #16 in Portugal, #92 in the Northern Hemisphere and #94 Worldwide.
