Northern California, United States — Wild Groves has been awarded a Silver at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Wild Groves Ascolano, while also earning Gold Awards for Wild Groves Coratina and Wild Groves Picual.
Wild Groves collected the Silver for Wild Groves Ascolano, a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil produced from Ascolano olives. The profile is distinguished by ripe notes, eucalyptus and vanilla, with red pepper emerging through the finish.
The producer’s 2026 results also included two Gold Awards, both for medium-intensity oils: Wild Groves Coratina, produced from Coratina olives, and Wild Groves Picual, produced from Picual olives.
Wild Groves is a premium producer of California extra virgin olive oil and other gourmet food. The family’s groves are in northern California, where many trees are more than 100 years old, placing them among the oldest in the country. Since 2005, the family has won more than 350 awards for its olive oils.
The 2026 accolades add to Wild Groves’ established record at the competition. In total, the producer’s NYIOOC history stands at three Gold Awards and six Silver Awards, including two Silvers in 2021, one Gold in 2019, two Silvers in 2018 and one Silver in 2017.
In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Wild Groves is ranked #43 in the United States, #100 in the Northern Hemisphere and #103 Worldwide.
