Kalamata, Greece — Yapapi has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Yapapi brand.
Yapapi is a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil produced from Koroneiki olives. The oil is distinguished by fresh olive leaf aromatics, green tomato notes and a ripe banana nuance that rounds out the profile.
Based in Kalamata, Yapapi is a family-owned producer with generations of experience in olive cultivation. Yapapi manages 800 olive trees and focuses on traditional methods paired with cold extraction, an approach intended to preserve the oil’s flavor while maintaining low acidity.
The 2026 Gold continues a strong run at the World Olive Oil Competition for Yapapi, which has now earned two Gold Awards overall, including a Gold in 2025.
The award also places Yapapi among Greece’s top-performing producers in the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, where Yapapi is ranked #31 in Greece, #92 in the Northern Hemisphere and #95 Worldwide.
