Šolta, Croatia — Zlatna Šoltanka has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Zlatna Šoltanka Oblica.
Zlatna Šoltanka Oblica is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity, produced exclusively from the Oblica cultivar. The oil is distinguished by fresh green sensations that recall grass and herbs, with a lively edge of arugula and radish and an unripe, structured character that carries through the finish.
Zlatna Šoltanka is an association of 20 olive oil producers on the island of Šolta, Croatia. Zlatna Šoltanka brings together growers focused on superior quality products, environmental protection and the development of the local population, working collectively to represent Šolta olive oil on international stages.
The 2026 Gold builds on a steady NYIOOC record for Zlatna Šoltanka, which has now earned three Gold Awards and one Silver Award across four total entries. Zlatna Šoltanka previously won Gold in 2025 and 2024, following a Silver Award in 2023.
The NYIOOC result places Zlatna Šoltanka among the leading performers tracked in the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, where Zlatna Šoltanka is ranked #23 in Croatia, #78 in the Northern Hemisphere and #80 Worldwide.
